Leapmotor Finance UK: T03, B10 and C10 Guide
๐ก Key Takeaway
Thinking of a Leapmotor? Here's how finance works on the T03, B10 and C10, what the LEAP-GRANT means and what to check before signing.
A couple of years ago, most UK drivers had never heard of Leapmotor. Now it's one of the quickest-growing names in the affordable EV market. โก
Backed by Stellantis โ the group behind Peugeot, Vauxhall, Fiat and Jeep โ Leapmotor is sold through familiar dealer groups and financed through a big-name captive lender.
Here's what you need to know about financing one in the UK.
Who is Leapmotor?
Leapmotor is a Chinese EV maker that formed a joint venture with Stellantis, called Leapmotor International. That partnership handles sales outside China, including the UK.
In practice, that means Stellantis dealers, Stellantis aftersales support and finance through Stellantis Financial Services โ which takes away a lot of the "new brand" uncertainty.
The UK line-up
Leapmotor T03 ๐
A compact city car with a 37.3kWh battery and a real-world-friendly range for urban and suburban driving. It's one of the cheapest new EVs on sale in Britain, which makes it popular with first-time EV owners.
Leapmotor B10
A family-sized compact SUV with a 67.1kWh battery option. It competes with the likes of the MG ZS EV and Kia EV3, often at a sharper price.
Leapmotor C10
A larger, well-equipped SUV aimed at families wanting space and tech without a premium badge price. It's also available as a range-extender version in some markets.
How finance works on a Leapmotor
You'll find the usual options:
- PCP (Personal Contract Purchase) โ lower monthly payments with an optional final "balloon" payment to own the car
- HP (Hire Purchase) โ fixed payments, and the car is yours once the last one is paid
- PCH (Personal Contract Hire) โ a lease; you hand the car back at the end
Through 2026, retailer campaigns have shown examples like a T03 on PCH from around ยฃ179 a month with a ยฃ999 initial rental, and B10 PCP deals from around ยฃ299 a month, some at 0% APR.
โ ๏ธ These offers run in quarterly order windows โ several we've seen closed on 30 September 2026. Always ask the dealer what's live today.
The LEAP-GRANT explained ๐ท
Leapmotor launched its own LEAP-GRANT discount in 2025, ahead of the government's Electric Car Grant. It's been adjusted several times since.
At one point in mid-2026 the T03 grant was reported as doubled to ยฃ3,000, bringing the price to around ยฃ12,995 OTR โ though other campaigns quoted smaller savings of around ยฃ1,500.
The key point: the grant reduces the cash price, which in turn reduces the amount you borrow. That's a genuine saving on every monthly payment.
What to check before you sign โ
New brands bring a few extra questions worth asking:
- Residual values โ on PCP, the lender sets the guaranteed future value. Newer brands can have more conservative GMFVs, which means slightly higher monthly payments
- Battery warranty โ check the length and mileage limits
- Mileage allowance โ be realistic; excess mileage charges add up
- Home charging โ factor a wallbox into your budget if you don't already have one
- Insurance group โ get a quote before committing
One upside of PCP on a newer brand: if residual values turn out lower than predicted, the lender carries that risk, not you. You can simply hand the car back at the end.
Is Leapmotor right for you?
If you want an affordable, well-equipped EV and you're happy with a brand that's newer to the UK, Leapmotor makes a lot of sense โ especially with Stellantis behind the dealer and finance network.
If you'd rather a more established name, it's still worth comparing a Leapmotor quote against rivals. It can be a useful benchmark.
