    Audi Finance UK — Funding an A3, Q3 or Q5 in 2026

    💡 Key Takeaway

How Audi PCP and HP finance works in 2026, current deals on the A3, Q3 and Q5, plus what to check before you sign in Reading or anywhere in the UK.

Audi is one of the UK's most-financed premium brands. The four rings sit in roughly one in twenty new car registrations, and the vast majority of those cars leave the dealer on PCP. 🚗

If you're looking at an A3, a Q3 or a Q5 in June 2026, here's how the finance actually works — and what's worth paying attention to before you commit.

Who funds an Audi in the UK?

The factory captive lender is Audi Finance, which is part of Volkswagen Financial Services UK. They underwrite the manufacturer-subsidised deals you'll see in the brochure and on the configurator.

But you are not stuck with them. Independent brokers — including We Finance Your Asset — can quote against the captive on HP, PCP and lease (PCH) for any new or used Audi. Sometimes the captive wins on a heavily-subvented offer; sometimes a broker rate beats it, especially on used cars.

The current line-up at a glance

    • Audi A3 — premium hatchback / saloon, mild-hybrid petrol and diesel, around £28k–£40k new
    • Audi Q3 — compact SUV, petrol and PHEV, around £37k–£50k new
    • Audi Q5 — mid-size SUV, petrol, diesel and PHEV, around £50k–£65k new

The fully-electric Q4 e-tron sits alongside these and tends to see the most aggressive deposit contributions as Audi chases its ZEV Mandate share — worth a separate conversation if EV is on your shortlist.

    How Audi PCP actually works

PCP (Personal Contract Purchase) is the dominant finance product on the Audi line-up:

    • You put down a deposit, usually topped up by a dealer deposit contribution
    • You make monthly payments for 36 or 48 months
    • At the end you can hand the car back, part-exchange the equity into a new deal, or pay the balloon to keep it

The balloon is set up-front as a Guaranteed Future Value (GFV) — Audi Finance's price for taking the car back at the agreed mileage. If it's worth more, you keep the equity. If less, you can walk away.

Mileage matters more on a premium PCP 📏

Audi GFVs are sensitive to mileage. Going from 10,000 miles a year to 15,000 can knock several thousand pounds off the GFV and add £30–£60 a month to your payment.

If your real-world mileage is uncertain, it's almost always better to start low and add miles later — most agreements let you increase the mileage allowance mid-term, and added miles cost less prospectively than they do as excess-mileage charges at the end (typically 8–12p per mile over).

Where Audi finance tends to be strong in June 2026

    A few patterns worth knowing:

    • Q3 PHEV — Audi has been pushing deposit contributions of £2,500+ on plug-in hybrid Q3s to balance the model mix
    • A3 Sportback petrol — competitive monthly payments via low-rate APR offers on 36-month terms
    • Q5 diesel — used Q5s on HP through brokers often work out cheaper monthly than a new PCP, if you're happy with a 1–2 year old car
    • Q4 e-tron — the most aggressive deals on the Audi line-up, courtesy of the ZEV Mandate pressure (see our separate piece on EV finance this June)

Things to check before you sign 📝

Whether you're going through an Audi dealer or a broker, walk through this list:

    • Total amount payable — the headline monthly is meaningless without it
    • APR — representative vs personal; your actual rate depends on credit profile
    • Deposit contribution — is it conditional on using Audi Finance? Most are
    • Mileage allowance — match your honest annual mileage
    • Optional final payment — what's the GFV in pounds, not just percentage?
    • Service plan — Audi service plans can be folded into the monthly; sometimes worth it, sometimes overpriced
    • GAP insurance — see our separate guide; don't buy at the dealer desk without comparing

Audi on HP — when it makes sense

If you plan to keep the car beyond the PCP term, an HP (Hire Purchase) deal is often cleaner. You pay it off in equal monthly chunks, you own it outright at the end, and there's no balloon, no mileage cap and no end-of-term inspection.

HP usually has a higher monthly than PCP for the same car (because you're paying the whole value down, not just the depreciation), but the total cost can be lower if you'd planned to settle the balloon anyway.

    A note on used Audis

Audi A3s and Q3s hold value well, and the 3–5 year old stock coming off PCP cycles right now is some of the strongest value in the premium segment. Used HP on a 3-year-old Q5 diesel often undercuts an entry-level new BMW X1 PCP on monthly cost.

A broker with a national lender panel — based in Reading, Berkshire or anywhere else — can quote a used Audi from multiple funders rather than the one a dealer happens to use.

    Our view

At We Finance Your Asset, we fund a steady stream of Audis every month — new from main dealers and used from independents. The depreciation curve is forgiving and there are usually one or two standout deals in the line-up each quarter.
